Deemer Named as Nominee for 2017 Allstate NABC Good Works Team

Graceland University Men's Basketball junior center Jeremy Deemer has been nominated for the 2017 Allstate National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Good Works Team. Deemer is one of 80 NCAA Divisions II, III and NAIA nominees for the Good Works Team this season and one of 181 nominees at all levels of men's college basketball.

Deemer has displayed his commitment to service in various ways throughout the Lamoni and Graceland communities. This past summer, he contributed over 450 hours of community service through AmeriCorps and worked as a summer league softball coach for fifth and sixth graders.

The business major serves as a captain on the basketball team, is part of Communications Club, and is on the executive board of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee where he serves as the head of social media. Deemer is also a member of ENACTUS, a member of the community unity team where Deemer helps to coordinate community-based activities.

The Allstate NABC Good Works Teams recognizes players at all levels of college basketball whose charitable involvement and altruistic acts stand out amongst all other student-athletes participating in the sport. Athletic departments and sports information directors across the country nominated the 181 NABC student-athletes for the prestigious honor.
