Graceland University Students Elected as House Presidents

Seventeen GU students have been elected as House Presidents for the 2014-15 school year. These students were nominated by a house preference vote, then passed a rigorous case study and board interview process. They will offer leadership and support to the members of their House and to the entire Graceland University student body. Graceland University Students Complete You're Hired! The Job Search

Graceland University students successfully completed a course that addresses professional readiness skills in depth. Students who complete this course develop all professional marketing documents associated with the job search. They have attended a job fair, dress for success and dining etiquette workshops, completed multiple mock interviews, thought critically about what unique "value add" they can provide to an employer and developed a blog, highlighting their professional interests.

Graceland University Students Complete Future Focus and the Job Search

Graceland University students elected to complete "Future Focus and the World of Work," an elective professional readiness course focusing on networking, resume development, interview preparation, the job search and other soft skills, including dressing for success and dining etiquette. Every student who completes this course has performed mock interviews, and completed a resume and LinkedIn profile.

The Graceland University Enactus Team participated in the Enactus National finals in Cincinnati, Ohio, during the week of March 31, 2014. All the hard work and dedication throughout the 2013-14 school year paid off and the team finished among the top 12 teams in the nation! Enactus is a community of students using entrepreneurial action to change lives and create a more sustainable world.

The Graceland University Competing Cheer Squad competed in the Missouri Valley College Winter Classic Cheer Competition on January 25, 2014. After taking a year off to concentrate on rebuilding the program, the Graceland Yellowjackets squad walked away with 2nd place!

Graceland University 2011 Graduation Lists Announced

As we prepare to welcome the Fall 2011 class at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, we celebrate our graduates for the 2010-11 academic year. A total of 709 graduates this year represented 38 majors. There were 324 Master's degrees and 400 Bachelor's degrees conferred. The graduates hailed from 43 states and 15 countries. Five-term, U.S. Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa presented the commencement address. Groundbreaking for Graceland's $13.8 million expansion and renovation of regional performing arts center, the Shaw Center, also took place commencement weekend. Forty-eight new student apartments and a new fitness center are also being built this year on the Lamoni campus for a total of $20 million in construction. Graduates from your area include:
